Pixetell Supercharges Email With Easy-to-Use Voice, Video and Images

November 3, 2009

New email - web conferencing hybrid adds features to make it easier to sell products, provide technical support, and work on web design without meetings

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ontier Inc. today announced major new features for Pixetell®, on-demand software that accelerates business communications with a new level of clarity and impact. These features make it much easier for customers to create and edit messages that combine voice, screen recordings and video. They enable the rapid creation of libraries of Pixetell messages and clips that can be easily edited and personalized for reuse.

"Pixetell is an email - web conferencing hybrid that gives our customers a competitive advantage, enabling them to move faster than the competition by accelerating both sides of the business relationship. Pixetell users are not stuck waiting on meetings and can keep the ball moving forward because they can simply say it, show it, send it and move on to the next task," said Sebastian Rapport, founder and CEO of Ontier. "Our customers tell us that Pixetell has transformed the way they do business and that Pixetell has become a primary business communication tool. The new editing, reuse and video features will enable our customers to get even more done in less time."

New Pixetell Features

Pixetell enables users to quickly add voice, screen recordings, and video to email and electronic documents. In addition to storage in their online account, users can now store Pixetell messages locally on their desktop. Entire Pixetell messages or individual clips can be reused making it as quick as double-clicking to create and customize new messages based on previously generated content.

In addition, newly created and pre-existing Pixetell content can now be easily edited. Pixetell includes a visual waveform editor representing the audio portion of a message that is clearly located above the timeline. This visual waveform editor enables the user to easily find, remove or re-record portions of the Pixetell message. Individual clips can be split at desirable points and be rearranged on the timeline or copied for later reuse.

Added to the previous ability to capture webcam video, Pixetell now features the ability to drag and drop videos in a variety of formats into Pixetell messages including most formats supported by Windows Media Player, such as AVI, MP3, ASF and WMV. The following Pixetell quickly demonstrates what's new and how easy it is to create and edit a personalized message with Pixetell.

Companies Transform Business with Pixetell

Most of what transpires in business is visual and is challenging to convey using text-based email. As a result, many companies are adding Pixetell as a way to communicate and collaborate in a more meaningful way.

"Construction is all about communication. It's the hardest part of the business, and bad communications can destroy relationships and damage our business," said Chip Galloway, owner of C&C Landscaping, a 40 person custom residential landscaping and design business in Utah. "Pixetell has changed the way we do business; it's improved the way we communicate with customers and with our project teams. Plus it's given us a business edge. We've cut way down on costs, reduced travel between projects by more than 50%, and helped cut back on errors. Importantly, it's given back something that is more valuable - time. Time is money in my business; it means more jobs." See the Pixetell here: http://pixetell.com/p0014PIM

"We use Pixetell for sales and tech support, and it's made a quantum change in our effectiveness. The abilities to personalize demos, reuse content and minimize on-line meetings have tremendous benefits. We save time and increase customer satisfaction - especially on tricky technical communications," said Rachel Dyer, VP of Implementation at On Demand Analysis, a software analytics and development firm in Oregon. "Plus using Pixetell is seen as cutting edge and gives the company instant credibility with prospects. When companies see what we are selling, we get their interest more quickly." Companies who rely on Pixetell as their primary communications tool now rely on the ability to create a library of Pixetells they can reuse and personalize.

"Like most software companies VSoftwareTools struggled with creating help files and documents," said President Don VonderBurg, VSoftwareTools Inc. "In the past to create a help file was cumbersome and time consuming. We tried Flash, CHM editors, among other options. Now with Pixetell we are saving 80% time in production and cutting down tech support calls by 75%! Our customer's comprehension has increased when receiving a Pixetell file over a document they had to read." See the Pixetell here: http://pixetell.com/p0014PIS
